Emotions - such magical things aren't they. Without them, life is bland. With them, life is colourful. But there are times when you are overflowing with so much emotion that it's not fun anymore. I don't know since when I've become so emotional. When I'm around people I can still be my perfect normal self. When I'm alone, I think things and that's when I get overwhelmed with emotions.

Anyway, I don't want to spoil the festive mood. Lemme share a 'fun' story before I end this post. Well, my right foot got stung by a bee during the first day of CNY. We were playing firecrackers and I was barefooted. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain on my right foot. I thought I stepped on some hot ashes, but when I lifted my foot, I saw a bee squashed underneath it. Apparently its sting got stuck in my foot and it hurt like hell. I couldn't stand the pain so I sort of knelt down. My aunt helped pull the sting out of my foot. What followed was the rubbing of an array of things on my foot - ointment, ginger, flower petals, Mopiko... My foot became swollen eventually (not because of all the rubbing). It has become much better now, except that it itches like hell. My mum kept asking everyone if the bee was poisonous and whether I'm fine. On the other hand my sis wasn't concerned at all... she even gave me a what-do-you-want face when I cried for help!

And I end this post with the lyrics of Alanis Morissette's song, "Ironic". Very beautifully written. I love it. Amazing song.

An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
Isn't it ironic... don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought ... it figures

Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids good-bye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
'Well isn't this nice...'
And isn't it ironic ... don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought ... it figures

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face

It's a traffic jam when you're already late
It's a no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife
And isn't it ironic... don't you think
A little too ironic... and yeah I really do think...

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought ... it figures

Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out
Helping you out
